Our hamlet is located 25 km west of Sundre at the base of the foothills in southwest
Central Alberta and close to the east border of the Banff National Park. It belongs to the Municipality of Mountainview County.
Our valleys and foothills stretch for miles towards the mountains. Here wild horses mingle with the moose, deer and elk.
Black bear also roam the forest floor and chattering little squirrels peek from the
branches of tall spruce and pine. To our first settlers, this was "God's Country".
Our little corner of Alberta is very beautiful any season of the year and there are
many opportunities for recreational activities.
Possibly the bears and the berries helped give our hamlet the name of Bearberry.
